Dave Filoni does it again! He is a genius! First episode has come and gone, and man oh man it was great! I will admit it was a tad bit slow. JUST A TAD! But this was ONLY because it was the first episode so it needs to set up everything that we are to expect from this season. This totally lived up to its hype.
The characters and the environments in this show look AMAZING! The animation, THE ANIMATION is off the charts amazing. You can see every single facial feature. Like I am talking about pores and stuff. It’s crazy how far animation has come from the original series to now, because back then the animation was off the charts as well. Gosh I just have such high praises!
Also, it was fantastic hearing Tom Kane’s voice again. I know he had a stroke so I am not sure how many narrations we will be getting with his voice. I hope so freaking much that he makes a full recovery so he continue his voice over work.
If you have not seen Star wars Clone Wars then you NEED to go and watch that. I say that so you can understand this a little better. You know, I say try it out anyway. They do a good job at explaining the characters. So yeah. Give it a try. If you are lost then I say go watch Star Wars Clone Wars. . . Actually. You should watch it regardless because it is a FANTASTIC show 🤣
🔴 Spoiler Spew 🔴
The title of this show truly did live up to its name. This first episode starts right off with order 66 😭 Like I said before, this first episode truly lived up to the hype I had in my head. The whole Bad Batch crew I am all in on. Hunter right now is my fav (I feel he will be most) and my least fav is Crosshair.
🟢 Caleb Dume 🟢
We got Kanan Jarrus people! Well, we got little Kanan! In Star Wars Rebels we meet Kanan for the first time and we know that with his story he survived order 66, but his master did not. So it was great to see Freddie come back and reprise his role as little Kanan before the name change.
🟢 Clone Troopers 🟢
It is awesome to see the changes all the clones are going through. We are used to seeing them all with their own personalities, but then as soon as order 66 went into play, then everyone lost that. So it was pretty cool to see our beloved clones start to turn into Storm Troopers. Even their voices started to turn into like a robotic tone.
🟢 Omega 🟢
I am excited to see that she is a clone. With Ahsoka I know people were mad about her, but then ended up loving her. So I hope people embrace Omega the same way. I am thinking that her “defect” might be she can see the future. She did tell Crosshair that she knows what he is going to do and that it is not his fault. Then as we know Crosshair betrays them all. Not 100% sure, but there is something special about her. Even Hunter can feel this. I know there is speculation on who Omega could possibly be, but I honestly think she is just the last clone of Jango Fett, but only time will tell.
🟢 The Bad Batch 🟢
It is wonderful to see that Bradley Dee Baker was able to just let loose and truly get to develop the characters his way. Since he does every single clone his voice has to be somewhat the same for everyone. But with these new bad batch clones he can truly give them different voices because he they are all “defective”.
🟢 What I Would Like To See 🟢
Honestly, I think it would be cool to see Vader in this series. I do not want it to focus on him. Like I want the light to be on the main characters, but it would be awesome to see Vader pop up here and there. They have already animated him in Clone Wars because of the latest season. We got Tarkin so I think we should see Vader. But then again we see Tarkin because he is overseeing the clones.
