What a fun little adventure! I can’t wait to see where this adventure goes.

This comic reminded me a lot of the Clone Wars TV show that is now on Disney+. I love that we are thrown into what is happening in this comic because it puts me in the shoes of Obi and Anakin. I am right there with them trying to solve the mystery. The Clone Wars show was so much fun and I am sad that it ended. I know it had to, but still sad. So anything else we get that is more adventures with the main people I am always game. I love to read what people think their favorite characters have been doing in between movies.

Amanda has me intrigued with the story already and it is just the first issue. I hope I stay captivated the whole time. It is such a fun and light hearted adventure that Obi and Anakin go on. Yes, stakes are still high and not everything goes according to plan, but Amanda does a great job at walking that fine line of seriousness and light fun adventure.

Michael and Lucas do a great job at bringing Amanda’s words to life. I do have to be honest though, I am not the huuuugest fan of the artwork. Even though Lucas does a great job at bringing the story to life, it is just not my cup of tea. I cannot put my finger completely why I feel this way. I guess I just wish it were a little more realistic. And what threw me off is that there is a specific character in this issue and they are very realistic, but everyone else isn’t. Even Obi looks a bit more realistic. Now on to Michael, their choice of colors was great! I could not find something I did not like about it. It was bright, which is perfect because it fits the tone of the story. It is also great to see not so many harsh tones either.

Overall, I am excited for this story to see where it leads and how it will fit into the main lore of Star Wars.

Moon of Staggec, Outer Rim. Padme and C-3PO visit a Wookie, Senator Yarua, on Straggec when Separatists show up. Padme calls in to the Jedi Council Chambers to call for help. While Padme calls, Yarua takes his daughters doll and puts something inside of it and ties it up. Obi-Wan tells Mace Windu, Yoda, and the rest of the council the he and Anakin should go. They don’t like that idea too much, but agree because Obi says this will teach Anakin restraint.

As soon as they land on Staggec, they find footprints and Anakin takes off running. They come across Yarua’s daughter hiding in the bushes. She leads them to where everyone is being held. The droids start to shoot and Obi gets hit when he saves the daughter. Anakin gets mad and destroys all the droids. Anakin slows down to meditate to think of what would Obi do in this situation.

Obi pretends to be dead and he wakes up and attacks once he knows where everyone is. Anakin runs to where they are and sees Padme was able to free herself and the others. Obi goes to find Yarua because General Grievous has him and wants something from him. Grievous takes his daughter hostage and Yarua attacks him, losing his life in the process.

On the ship to Kashyyyk, Padme is comforting Yarua’s daughter and Anakin tells her she will be a great mother one day. Obi says he wonders what it was that Grievous was looking for.
