With the fall of Starlight Beacon, there is fear within the Jedi Order. The Jedi are lost on what to do because they are not sure on how to defeat the Nihil and the creature that is successful in killing Jedi. With the Nihil being able to control these creatures, the Jedi are fearful.
The artwork in this issue is great! Ibraim Roberson and Fer Sifuentes-Sujo did a wonderful job. It almost seemed like one person did both things. The marriage of their styles came together greatly.
This was a good set up issue. It is a slow issue, and not a lot of action happens, but it does have a good foundation for the rest of the issues. I am interested to see where this goes. The thing I loved most about this issue was seeing Master Yoda. I love that green little guy ❤️

(The Crawl) Centuries before the Clone Wars or the Empire, during the glorious era of THE HIGH REPUBLIC, the Jedi were at their height.
The galaxy was at peace until dangerous marauders known as the NIHIL caused THE GREAT DISASTER. Their attack on the Jedi and the Republic reached its peak with the destruction of STARLIGHT BEACON, a space station meant to symbol hope and unity.
Now, the Jedi have been recalled to Coruscant, fearful of the Nihil and the monstrous creatures they possess. . .
(The Fall of Starlight Beacon. One Year Ago.)
Avar and Elzar are two Jedi’s who are part of the relief effort of trying to find survivors in the wreckage of the Starlight Beacon. Many people have died, along with many Jedi. All Jedi are being called back to Coruscant.
Coruscant, The Jedi Temple. Master Yoda, Ki-Sakka, and Agra are talking saying they are glad they called back all of the Jedi so they can regroup and they still know nothing about the Jedi killer creatures the Nihil used to help destroy Starlight Beacon. Grandmaster Yoda leaves them so he can go meditate on the secrets of the past.
Coruscant, One Week After the Fall. All of the Jedi gather in the Senate building. Pra-Tre Veter, Grandmaster Lahru, Keaton Murag, oppo Rancisis, Ada-Li Carro, Teri Rosason, and Yarael Poof speak to all the Jedi and tell the Nihil destroyed Starlight Beacon by using bombs and a creature that kills Jedi by getting into their heads and feeding on the Force. Oppo talks about how council members Stellan Gios, Orla Jareni, and Nib Assek have died. Ada-Li confirms Master Loden Greatstorm has died at the hands of the creature. Teri says the leader of the Nihil is Marchion Ro. Marchion has created a barrier on the outer rim and anyone who uses hyperspace travel will be destroyed. Yarael says this is why everyone has been brought together, so they can find a way to defeat the Nihil and to implement Guardian Protocols. With Jedi concerned about the Nihil, they are accelerating younglings combat training to prepare them for Lightsabers.
The Jedi Temple Armory, One Month After the Fall. Master Govena makes Lightsaber hilts, but die to the Guardian Protocols, they need to have battle ready Lightsabers. Instead of the hilts having personality to them, they will look very plain.
Three Months After the Fall. Two Jedi are lookin at a wall of missing people and wondering where Master Yoda went after the fall. Yoda is seen with a hooded figure. A Jedi they do not recognize and they have a bad feeling about the hooded Jedi. Master Elzar is asking the Jedi council to divert resources into searching for other lost Jedi like Avar Kriss and Porter Engle. They are stuck behind the wall the Nihil created. Yoda tells him they are not going to do that because the Force has placed them where they need to be. Yoda is more interested in the creatures that can kill Jedi. Yoda says he has answers, and reveals who the hooded person is. It is Azlin Rell, and the council can feel the Dark Side surrounding him. Azlin tells them he is not a Sith and Yoda helped calm his mind. Azlin has embraced the Dark Side and he has done research on these creatures.
Jedi Temple Detention Center, Four Months After the Fall. Yoda helps Azlin with his fear for the creatures and reads his mind for answers. In this process, Azlin gets scared and attacks Yoda in the dream, but does so in real life as well.
