When I heard that they were coming out this comic series I was like “Hell yeah!”. This comic series is about Boba Fett taking Han Solo in carbonite to Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine. It is awesome to see Soule make a comic series based off of one scene. Kind of reminds me of Star Wars Rogue One. After reading this first issue I cannot wait for next months issue!
Writing
Such an awesome story that Soule wants to tell. After reading this prelude issue I am all for it! It was so beautifully written it was honestly like watching an episode of The Mandalorian on Disney+. The story catches your attention right away and never lets go. I love that Soule is taking on this story challenge because a small part of me always did wonder what it was like for Boba to give Han to Jabba since Han was well known with bounty hunters. Anyway, I am excited for the rest of the issues. I wish they would just release them all so I can read the whole story already π The way this is being written it honestly could have been made for the silver screen. The underworld in Star Wars had always peaked my interest. If this continues to be just as amazing as this prelude then this is going to be one of my favorite comics.
Artwork
Ok. So not only is writing fantastic, but the artwork is amazing! Like freakishly amazing. McNiven and Martin are beautifully paired together. I have started to read Invincible and the fighting is pretty much the same. I wonder if McNiven and Martin got inspired from that comic. If they did awesome, if they didn’t, still awesome. To me it is freaking crazy because even though I LOVE the story, I am more in love with the artwork. You can see every detail in this issue. My eyes were constantly looking at every inch of every panel. It is all EXTREMELY realistic it is crazy. They truly took their time here and it freaking shows. There were fight scenes in this issue and holy guacamole that were intense to take in. Like I said about the writing I will say the same about the art, it was like watching an episode of The Mandalorian.
Overall
This is the Boba Fett I have ALWAYS wanted to see. Soule, McNiven, and Martin all deliver on the standards I had for myself in my head. I cannot wait to see where this all heads. Boba is back!

π΄ Spoiler Summary Spew π΄
Boba Fett, the galaxy’s most dangerous hunter, claims the bounty of notorious smuggler and rebel officer Han Solo. Jabba the Hutt eagerly awaits Fett’s delivery of Solo’s carbonite frozen body to Tatooine, where the crime lord will exact his final revenge. Han Solo’s debt is this paid,. But Boba is desperate for a payday himself. . .
Boba calls into Jabba’s palace to let him know that he has Han. Something goes wrong with the carbonite so Boba heads to Nar Shaddaa, The Smuggler’s Moon. He takes Solo to his friend Doc Ragon to see if he can fix the problem. Luckily he can, but he wants Boba to enter a fight to kill a lady for him. But the problem is that she is the campion and she is the champion fighter for the Kanji Hutts. To keep Boba’s identity a secret Doc will spray paint his armor and he enters the battle under his father’s name. Jango.
Jango (Boba) is winning battles like CRAZY. But we knew this would happen because Boba is freaking amazing! He is legit an amazing bounty hunter. He is doing head shots on everyone! EVERYONE I tell ya! Right before he went in he had a flashback of his Dad and when he got beheaded. So this has to be because of that memory. Boba finally gets up to the main person, Wrymen Lictor, the champion. When he goes out to see her she is a mix of spider and woman.
Back at Doc’s place someone in the shadows comes out and shoots him dead. Then two other people pop out to take Han for themselves. Boba shows up and you can see the sigh in his face even with his helmet on. At this time Jabba calls him asking where is he with Solo.
