Writing

I enjoyed both stories. The second one with Applejack made me laugh. It is very similar to a western film and I was laughing because it reminded me of a Geico commercial 🀣 If you have never seen this commercial then you NEED to. Anyway, I am enjoying that everyone is getting a chance to write their own story and have fun with this crossover. If I were on this writing team I would want to have fun with it as well.

Artwork

Again the colors in this comic are striking! The colors are loud and vibrant. Exactly what you would expect from a My Little Pony comic. In the second story the art was different in a great way. They truly captured the spirit of a western film. Even though in the second story it has more of a brown hue to it, it is still wonderful. Every panel still comes to life. The same as the first story.

One Funny Moment

There is a part when a Decepticon, Skywarp, calls one of the ponies a “flying glue bottle” πŸ˜‚

Overall

I have now come around that this crossover does not need one cohesive story. Since this is geared towards kids it is nice to have a story begin and end in one issue. Instead of waiting a whole month for the next one to come out.

🟒 Where to Buy 🟒

If your local comic shop does not have it then you can always buy it on Amazon.

πŸ”΄ Spoiler Summary Spew πŸ”΄

“Stunt Flying”

Rainbow Dash is pestering Starscream and telling him how much he sucked the first time they met. Captain from the Wonderbolts tells Rainbow to not antagonize the aliens with the lasers. While they are talking they get attacked by mind controlled bots and ponies. Starscream tells his people to shoot to kill and one of the Wonderbolts tells him not to do that because they are trying to find a way to break the spell.  One of the Decepticons, Skywarp, calls the Wonderbolt a “flying glue bottle”. I legit gasped out loud 🀣. Kids are gonna wonder what the heck does the Decepticon mean. Anyway, the Wonderbolts create a distraction so the Decepticons can throw  net over everyone who is hypnotized. Rainbow Dash does a sonic rainboom here but we don’t see it. It would have been nice to of seen it.

“One-Trick Pony”

Applejack is in a desert like place on Cybertron. There are even tumbleweeds made out of wires going by. A bot shows up called Wildwheel and he looks like a cowboy. Apple wants to pass but is not allowed. So then they both tip their cowboy hats and have a stare down. They both bring out there whips and it looks like Wild hit Apple, but we see there was a mind controlled Autobot that Wild hit. Since he saved Apple, they become friends and Wild says he will help Apple get home. Apple then tells him that she has a friend who can make them matching hats.
