You know, this is one of my least favorite Hallmark movies. I did not enjoy this movie at all. There was some humor that was funny, and I enjoyed seeing Chad Michael Murray. Other than that, this movie fell very flat.
The Meeting of Our Future Couple
They bump into each other on the beach. Brody’s dog runs up to Aly. I thought this was a cute meeting because it did feel believable.
Story
I felt the story in this movie was lacking greatly. Ok well. I can see the makings of a cute movie, but that’s it. Just the makings of it. It feels like their vision never truly came to fruition. But then again it is hard to tell if it is the story that was not all there, or if it was the acting. It could be a bit of both actually. The dialogue between everyone was kind of boring. I hate saying this about a Hallmark movie, but I was really not feeling this movie.
Chemistry
Chad and Aly I felt deeply lacked chemistry. You can tell that Chad was trying to pull something out of her. You can also tell that he was being playful with her and trying to create a friendship. With Aly, she had such a wall up around her. It was like she was having nothing to do with what Chad was putting out. I truly felt Chad was giving everything. Yes, there were at times where even his performance lacked, but I did feel he was giving more than his co star.
Speaking about Chad, how does that guy not age?! He looks EXACTLY the same as he did on One Tree Hill. They should pair him up with his other One Tree Hill co-stars since they have now all been in Hallmark movies. I’m talking about Bethany Joy Lenz and Hilarie Burton.
Likes
I was a fan that Elli came in looking for land but was totally nice about it. Usually people who are looking for land come in all mean and want to run over the town. I also appreciated that the town itself was ok with someone developing land in their town. This was different from other movies.
Dislikes
The leading lady was giving me nothing. She looked as if she was bothered the whole time. That she did not want to be there making the movie but was forced to be there. There was also zero character development in this movie. The whole thing just felt off.
Overall
This was not the greatest and it is a very forgettable movie. I found my mind wandering and not paying attention.

I say don’t waste your time. If you’re watching Hallmark and you have NOTHING else to watch then year go ahead and watch this.
