🟢 Non Spoiler Review 🟢

What a laid back and fun movie to watch. I thought the story was great! Was it simple, yes, but still enjoyable. What surprised me was that this was full of humor. When going into this movie I thought it was going to be a regular kids movie that I will enjoy and chuckle here and there. But, I found myself thoroughly enjoying the movie. The main story of this movie was wonderful too. It was all about family. How family will always be there even though things around you might be changing and it is out of your control.

All the actors did such a fantastic job. They all really brought each character to life (along with the animators). I thought everyone played their part perfectly. Sometimes in animation a voice does not mesh well with a character, but everyone here fit well.

The animation was beautiful as well! The bright colors were lovely. It reminded me of Coco when Miguel crossed over to the land of the dead. The animators outdid themselves. The facial expressions are on point. Even the movements of all the characters was fluid. I love that the animals in this movie are combinations of other animals. Like there are wolf spiders and mammoth cows. Like I said, the animation is amazing. Visually impressive is what it is.

What’s great about this movie is that if you have not seen the first one then there is no problem. They do a great recap in the beginning, which honestly I was not expecting, but grateful for. I also liked that this movie has great animation, it was funny, great actors, and a clever story.

I would say the only thing that could have been a bit better was the character development. People do grow in the movie, but it wasn’t as much as I was hoping. They all still seemed to stay in their same ways, but with little development.

Overall this is a charming movie that adults and kids will enjoy.

🟢 Watch or Don’t Watch 🟢

If you want to sit back and have a good laugh then watch this movie. If you have kids you should watch this movie as well. It is fun for the whole family.
