Oh. My. Goodness. Raya is just simply wow. I enjoyed this movie from beginning to end. This was a great movie! It was so entertaining and full of adventure. I absolutely loved the story. Disney did such an amazing job hiding a lesson in its movie while having kids watch it. Their message of people are all the same and we should come together was done beautifully. They even did a great job at showing how people are greedy and out for themselves. Another lesson they taught too was about trust, having courage, and forgiveness.

This was such a beautiful story. It was beautifully written and beautifully animated. I got a bit of a Moana vibe to this movie. The dragon itself kind of felt like Disney got Genie and Mushu and mushed them together. But back to the animation. The animation was amazing! It kind of reminded me of Frozen a little bit. Certain scenes to me were mind blowing. I want to describe them, but I do not want to take away from the amazingness of witnessing it for the first time.

The animation in this movie is off the charts amazing. Disney really does outdo themselves with each new animated movie that comes out. I love this about them because they are not content with what they put out. They are always striving to be the best. When I was watching Raya I would forget that it had animated backgrounds. It all just looked so realistic. Even when the dragon, Sisu, appeared I was in awe.

If I had to pick one thing that I did not like it would have to be Awkwafina. Stick with me here! I LOVE Awkwafina! LOOOOVE her! I say I did not like her ONLY because her voice is so distinct. Just like Seth Rogen in The Lion King. I did not like him as Pumbaa because I could not see Pumbaa when he was on screen. I could only see Seth Rogen. That is how it was for me with Awkwafina. I kept picturing her face, but I am so beyond happy she is in this Disney movie and now she is in a Marvel movie.

Raya and the Last Dragon is so unique that it has for sure made its way up my list. If you have not seen it you are really missing out on something great.

🟢 Watch or Don’t Watch 🟢

Yes, definitely watch it!
