Frodo Baggins is that you?! I HAD NO IDEA Elijah Wood was in this movie. I was scrolling along HBOMAX and I saw this advertised because I watched the Original Space Jam 😅 I knew I had to watch it because I have not seen this movie in yeeeaaaars. Not only is Frodo Baggins in this movie, but so is Mike from Breaking Bad.
This was such a fun and light-hearted movie. A boy and his Dolphin, what is not to like about that? I will admit, sometimes with movies the moody teen does irritate me, but this time I did not mind it as much because I understood where Elijah’s character was coming from. Did his attitude go on for a bit too long, yes it did, but it all works out in the end.
My ONLY complaint about this movie is that it made me jealous that Elijah Wood got to swim with Dolphins. I know you can probably do that now, but to have been his age experiencing that must have been amazing.
It was fun watching this movie again because I did enjoy seeing Elijah Wood pull out an old Game Boy from his pocket. When I saw that I said, “Woah! I remember that Game Boy!” out loud.
Go see this movie especially if you have HBOMAX. It also has a wonderful message that still holds up to this day. Be aware of the ocean life and we need to protect it at all costs.
