π’ Plot π’
Jen is hired at a prestigious law firm but must practice as She-Hulk and rep a complicated client.
π΄ Easter Eggs π΄
Right at the 6:00 minute mark, when Jen is looking for a job, you can see on the right side it says “Related Articles”. If you pause the show you can see two important articles.
- “Man fights with metal in bar brawl” – Which I think has to deal with Wolverine.
- “Why there is a giant statue of a man sticking out of the ocean” – I truly believes this has to deal with the Eternals and fighting Tiamut. When I saw that it got stuck in the ocean I was like, someone will FOR SURE take notice of that.
At the 6:14 mark we get to see Jen’s lock screen and that is TOTALLY America’s Ass. That is Captain America!
Jen heads over to a family dinner and her Dad asks her how does Hawkeye get is arrows. This happens at the 7:40 mark. He wants to know if Hawkeye goes around and collects them. I love that they brought this up because as we see in the Hawkeye series, yes he does go around and collect them.
π΄ Summary Spoiler Spew π΄
Jennifer gets fired from her firm and she goes out interviewing at many other firms hoping that someone will hire her. She hangs out with her friend at a bar because she wants to relax since she is unable to get hired at other firms due to her being She-Hulk. While at the bar the boss of the lawyer group she went against in the first episode offers her a position at his firm. In need of a job she says yes. When she gets to the firm she learns that she will be head of the super human division and she will always need to be in She-Hulk form. Her boss also says that she needs to take on Emil Blonsky as a client. Blonsky tells Jen that he has changed and he was just doing his job as a soldier and he was made to take the serum. And now he wants to get with his seven soul mates that he made pen pals with and that they purchased a large piece of property for him.
Blonsky was Abomination in the original Hulk movie with Edward Norton. We also see Abomination in the fighting ring with Wong in Shang-Chi. In the Hulk movie, Blonsky wants to be a super soldier like Captain America. He combines the super soldier serum with Bruce Banner’s blood. It goes wrong and then he turns into the Abomination.Β
When we found out what division she will be in charge of, a super small part of me was hoping that we were going to see Beast from X-Men appear.
With Jen not being able to find a new job, I really thought we were going to see a small cameo of Daredevil with Jen asking him help on how to make her own firm. But then again I do realize that maybe not everyone knows about him yet. . . I just want my Daredevil back π
I wonder what Blonsky meant by the seven soul mates. I am sure that will lead into something bigger. He did say they bought him a large piece of property.
Blonsky wants to get parole after 15 years of being in prison. He tells Jennifer that he has changed. Jennifer talks it over with Bruce, since he tried to kill him, and Bruce gives her his blessing. Bruce says he is a completely different person now and the fight was a long time ago. When Bruce says this, Jennifer looks into the camera with that look. When Bruce is done giving Jen his blessing, she asks him if she will see him soon, the camera then pans out and we see he is on a Sakaar ship.
Jennifer gives the audience this look because we all know that Edward Norton got replaced as Hulk by Mark Ruffalo. Honestly, I am not a fan of Jennifer looking into the camera once in a while. I think I’m not a fan because it is not done often enough to make it blend well. It almost feels like it was an after thought.Β
Since it is rumored everywhere that the movie rights to Hulk is ending soon, that Disney is setting up everything so they can finally give Mark Ruffalo his own Hulk movie.
When Jennifer goes back to work she tells her boss that she is ready to take on Blonsky as a case. He says good and turns the TV on where the news story is about Blonsky and that he has escaped.
I was wondering how they were going to show this. When we see that Blonsky is in prison, in my head I was like ”What the heck? I thought he was with Wong”. So to see that they have tied it in is great, but it did feel thrown in there though.Β
π΄ Post Credit Scene π΄
We see Jen helping her Dad do chores around the house. Since she has the super strength she can help him and not have him do a lot of heavy lifting.
