I love, Love, LOVE this movie! “Back to the Future” is one of my favorite movies of all time. This movie is amazing inside and out. It is full of thrills and adventure. It for sure has twist and turns, and wonderful surprises. This is what gives this fantastic movie its charm.
The Director, Robert Zemeckis, did such a fantastic job with this movie. He was able to make it fun, lighthearted, and comedic. Special effects are still so cool to see, even though you can still see where parts are dated, it does not even matter because the awesomeness of the movie overshadows it. The scenery and set decoration was also beautiful. It was awesome that this was filmed on the Universal lot. It was cool because when you took the tram tour at Universal they would take you through the town and the iconic clock tower. I remember when it burnt down I was SUPER sad, but it has been rebuilt, so yay for that!
Alan Silvestri, the Composer, created one of the most iconic theme songs for this movie. It lives right along with the music for “Jurassic Park”, “Jaws”, and “Star Wars”. Every time I hear this song all I get are good feelings. It takes me back to this iconic movie and how much fin it is to watch.
Casting for “Back to the Future” was done perfectly! Everyone was made to play their roles. You could tell they all had a fun time filming and they had fun working with each other. Their chemistry just oozes off the screen. Especially the relationship between Marty and Doc. Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd are such an amazing duo. You know, since they are so wonderful as a pair, this is why “Rick and Morty” was created.
Also, there are SO MANY quotable lines! Script writers knew what they were doing. Honestly, I don’t even care if this is not exactly how time travel works (like how the mention it in “Avengers: End Game”). It works for me! You can really tell they took their time perfecting the script.
If you haven’t seen it, you really need to. Like, NEED to! It is such a solid movie. You will not be disappointed. It is a brilliant film. A movie masterpiece!

We see Marty’s family and they are a bunch of nerdy, geeky people where the Dad tells lame jokes and Mom drinks. To top it off, Marty has a crazy inventor friend named Doc. Brown. Doc tells Marty to meet him at a nearby mall early in the morning/late at night because he wants him to record his discovery. When Marty meets him at the mall, Doc tells him that he has invented time travel. He shows Marty that he made a time traveling machine out of a De Lorean and he shows him that it does work by testing it out on his dog Einstein.
After a series of events, Marty gets in the De Lorean and finds himself transported back 30 years to 1955. . . My favorite part from this is that Marty crashes into a barn. The family comes out to see what it is and the little boy shows his Dad a space comic. Marty’s outfit and car match the cover of the comic. The Dad runs home then goes and gets the shot gun. . . Marty gets the heck out of there. The car breaks down so he hides it behind a sign and walks all the way into town. In town, which is the same town he lives in back in 1985, and they all give him weird looks and ask him why is he wearing a life preserver. Marty’s style is jeans, a shirt, and a puffy sleeveless vest.
Marty is having a hard time believing where he is and he has many funny instances because he is from the future, and many things have changed since 1955. One really fun thing is that Marty heads to a diner he frequents and runs into his Dad as a teenager. Back in the real time Marty’s Mom told him that they met one day because her Dad hit him with his car. So she helped him get better and then fell in love with him. Back in the past, Marty follows his Dad and finds out that he is a peeping Tom. His Dad was about to get hit by a car, but Marty pushed him out of the way and he got hit instead.
When Marty finally meets up with Doc and proves to him that he is from the future, he does tell him that he ran into his Mom and Dad at this point. Doc tells him that in doing so he has messed with the future. Marty will now have to correct what he is done while Doc Brown comes up with a way to get Marty back home.
