I was a bit confused when I started off reading this comic. It felt as if I were missing something. Turns out I was. All the other issues before this one 😅 When In picked this up at my comic shop I thought it was the first of its kind. Boy was I wrong.

Even though I was unsure of what was happening. I was all in real quick. I was totally invested by the end of this issue and I had no back story on anyone. I did research more about it and did find out it is the beginning of a new arc. But I still think I will stop here at pick up the other issues before continuing.

The issue was mysterious and I was here for it. I love mysteries! I also quiet enjoyed they kept the humor. It was a nice break from the mystery of it all. I also enjoyed the humor, action, and pacing of this issue. The writing overall was fantastic. Even though I am new to these characters, I caught on quickly on who they each are. The personalities of each character leaped off the page.

Artwork in this issue is truly wonderful. The characters for me are leaping off the page. It’s like I can see them coming to life. Like a hologram or if you are using a VR machine. All the colors used compliment each other as well. Nothing took me out of the comic.

At the end of the day, even though I am not familiar with any of the characters or previous issues. I still quiet enjoyed this issue and I look forward to reading the new ones and the older ones. If you are familiar with these characters I have no doubt you will enjoy this issue. If you are new like me, I know you will also enjoy it because it is well written, funny, and action packed.

🔴 Spoiler Summary Spew 🔴

The group is at Sir Fince’s place, but he is no where to be found and it looks as if he left in a hurry. The group finds Fince hung up in his basement with two Devils torturing him. They killed the captors, but were unable to save Fince. They go through journals to see if they can find any information. In the journal they find out General Krieg is in charge of investigating the assassination attempt on the Winter’s Crest. Fince thinks Krieg was taking it so personally because he stopped the attempt himself. Uriel has been keeping his family confined within the cardinal chamber. No one knows where they are, not even the council. Uriel’s investigation has lead him to look at members of Council as people of interest. While walking around they hear something beneath the floor boards. The floor opens and three members fall through.

We head over to two others who are sneaking around a place called Emon trying to find someone to interrogate because all of the Clasps deal are made here. The two characters we are following get ambushed and captured. They are taken to the Clasp boss and one of our characters tells him they are hoping to find out about a job that went through Westrun Chapter. The other character we know is sitting quietly murmuring to themselves and they start to glow. The other character asks the Clasp boss if they know anything about the Dragon Stone. The boss keeps opening up about their operations and even says ambitious Council Members make profitable clients. He then realizes what is happening. We goes over and hits the Gnome (Pike is the name the other character blurted out) so they stop their magic. The boss then tells them William would like to meet them and he hasn’t been fed yet.
