I give this movie 5 out of 10 vomits
🟢 Plot 🟢
🟢 Non Spoiler Spew 🟢
First off I am going to say that I FREAKING LOVE Godzilla’s music and noises. I don’t know why, but I just do. It is kind of like the noise from Boba Fett’s bomb from Star Wars.
I was pretty excited when I saw this advertised on HBO Max. Now that I finally saw it I am pretty disappointed in it. It only checked off one box for me. . . Action. This was full of Monster action from beginning to end, but that is all. The whole story was pretty messy and I honestly did not understand what was happening.
It was honestly a pretty bland story. Most of the movie did not make any sense. The only part that SOMEWHAT made sense was Godzilla and King Kong fighting. The whole storyline with Eleven and her group made zero sense to me. There was just so much that I did not understand. Dialogue was hard to hear and there was no character development. Like I do not know these characters enough to care about their situation. And like I said before, their situations made no sense. I got taken out of this movie so many times. They should have just stuck with the fighting monsters. The creators were SO CLOSE to making such a good movie, but they came up short. . . Very short.
All of the special effects were amazing! I will give this movie that. The way King King and Godzilla looked were fantastic. Even my home speakers were rumbling when Godzilla would roar. It was awesome! This was honestly the only thing I liked about the movie. They probably should have just kept humans out of it and they should have made a movie just about the two monsters.
Overall the movie was fun and enjoyable. But ONLY for the action between Godzilla and King Kong. You know, at the end of the day it was fun to watch a movie that I did not have to pay attention to. That I did not have to focus. All I had to do was sit back and enjoy the action.
🟢 Watch or Don’t Watch 🟢
If you want to see monsters fighting then yes, watch it. Other than that, there is not much else to this movie. So don’t expect much.
