What a great movie! This movie is exactly what you expect. Now when I say great I mean it is great for what it is. We all know that these movies are ridiculous and pretty out there. So knowing that, it is still great. I laughed so much in the theater. There were even parts that I was laughing on my own. I just know how ridiculous this movie was, but I still enjoyed myself. Fast and the Furious is doing their own thing and I am all for that.
I love that the whole cast is back. Obviously we are missing the great Paul Walker, but I thought they handled him being gone perfectly. When the did mention him my heart did break a little. The cast reminds me a lot of the Marvel movies. I think this because with Marvel everyone has been working with each other for over 10 years and they have such a special bond. So I think of the Fast and the Furious series because they have all been together for a very long time. They all seem like extremely great friends on and off the screen. You can see how much fun the F&F crew have with each other. With the addition of John Cena, he seemed to fit right in. Now, I will be honest. I am not the BIGGEST fan of Cena, but I did enjoy him in this movie. Oh! Also, in the movie they show back story on Dom and Jakob as teenagers, and the young actors they got to be Vin and Cena were casted perfectly. Vinnie Bennett did a FANTASTIC job at nailing the mannerisms Vin has in the movies. Aaaaaaand Vin is always talking about how these movies are revolved around family, and his real life son also played young Dom. So that was beautiful to see.
It is so crazy to see how far these movies have come from the first movie. They started as street racers hijacking semi trucks, to hacking government systems 😂 I really do love that every episode their stunts get bigger and bigger. And the action keeps getting stepped up as well too. To me in this movie the action was not only bigger, but it was more funny as well. Along with action, the stunts are off the charts as well. I thought the people filming the stunts or making them CGI did such a great job. They did a fantastic job at bringing all these impossible stunts to life. I will admit, there were some effects that did not come off well, but that just gives more charm to the movie 😅
Overall, this is another great, fun, comedic, action packed F&F movie.
