📸: Hallmark Gold Crown
I give this movie 4 out of 10 vomits
🤮🤮🤮🤮
🟢 Plot 🟢

🟢 The Stars 🟢
Autumn Reeser – Lauren
Andrew Walker – Jack
🟢 Non Spoiler Spew 🟢
I was super excited for this movie. Andrew Walker is my favorite Hallmark male actor. I have liked all his movies so far, but this was the first one that I did not like.
The Meeting of Our Future Couple
Their meeting was pretty typical. Nothing too over the top. Lauren and Jack meet when Lauren checks into her room for her getaway retreat. Although, I did find it to be a little awkward, but sometimes meeting your future person can be.
Chemistry
Autumn and Andrew on their own are great, but together not so much. I just did not buy it. They did not have any romantic chemistry to me. It felt like they forced everything. They seemed hesitant to look at each other with flirty eyes or getting close to each other. You could see there was something preventing them from having great chemistry together. The characters Jack and Lauren were great and I could see them having great chemistry, but that just did not come to life.
Likes
What I did enjoy about the movie is how well Lauren and Jack fit as a couple. They are the same with little differences that would make them a great couple in real life. I always enjoy when you can see that this would make a real life couple because sometimes Hallmark puts two people together and you know dang well that relationship would not last.
Dislikes
Pacing of this movie was awful. It was super slow. Like, suuuuuuper slow. It pretty much fit the story of the movie. This movie wanted to tell people it is ok to slow down and to enjoy life. To not make work your whole life. With teaching the viewers to slow down, they also slowed down the movie. I would have been ok with this decision, but their was no extra substance to the movie. We weren’t given fully flushed out characters. So, I do not mind a slow movie or TV show, but make sure you have a strong story.
Overall
This is going on the list of one of my least favorite movies. The story was not fully there, the pacing was terribly slow, and the two leading actors did not have chemistry.
🟢 Watch or Don’t Watch? 🟢
I say you can skip it.
