John Hammond created a theme park of cloned dinosaurs on an island, Isla Nublar. Paleontologist Alan Grant, Paleobotanist Ellie Sattler, and Mathematician Ian Malcolm head to the park to see if it is safe for guests. While on their tour dinosaurs break free.

Jurassic Park never disappoints for me. It is such a solid movie and it still hold up after all this time. It is extremely entertaining and I enjoy it like it is my first time watching.
The special effects in this movie is off the charts amazing. ILM (Industrial Light and Magic) does mind blowing work. To know that during this movie they were creating brand new technology at the same time is amazing. ILM really paved the way to what CGI and special effects are today. Also, the stop motion of the dinosaurs are next level. Since everything looks so realistic this is why this movie holds up to today’s standards.
I love that even though it is a suspenseful movie, there is still humor in it. I will be honest, I have not read the Jurassic Park book from Michael Crichton. So I have no idea how much the movie relates to the book. But I am IN LOVE with this script. It was great writing when it came to the children too. Normally children annoy me in movies, but their characters were written beautifully. I know I am biased when it comes to this movie, but I think it is perfect writing.
Casting in this movie is done perfectly! The chemistry between all of the actors is amazing. You could tell they were all having fun during filming. Even though it was a lot of new technology and they weren’t sure how the final product would look, you could see they were enjoying themselves.
All I can really say is that this movie is ICONIC and the music is ICONIC. It is a one of a kind movie.
🔴 Plot Summary Spoiler Spew 🔴
John Hammond found out how to clone Dinosaurs. He bought an island called Isla Nublar, where he wants to create a park where people can come visit the Dino’s. In the opening a Zookeeper gets killed by a Velociraptor. Because of this a Lawyer (Donald), Mathematician (Ian), Paleontologist (Alan), and Paleobotanist (Ellie) are sent out to make sure the park is safe.
When everyone gets to the island they all go to the Visitor’s Center to learn about the cloning process and they are told there is no breeding in the park because everyone is female. Afterwards they all go to dinner and Ian talks about the pros and cons with the park. Ian also talks about that if there is no breeding, life will find a way to make it happen.
On their way out to the tour, Hammond’s grandkids (Lexi and Tim) arrive to go on the tour too. Hammond stays behind while everyone heads out. Everyone is upset because they have seen zero dinosaurs on this tour.
A disgruntle employee (Nedry) sabotages the park so he can steal embryos for a rival company. Due to the sabotage, another employee (Arnold) has to reset the whole park to get rid of the virus. When this happens all the parks habitats go offline. This causes Dino’s to escape.
Alan, Tim, and Lexi get split from the rest of the team and have to find their way back to the Visitor’s Center. When they finally reach it, everyone heads to the control room and are able to call for a ride home.
