“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” Episode 8 Review

📸: Marvel Studios

🟢 Plot 🟢

She-Hulk represents Leap-Frog who was injured due to a malfunction in his custom-made super suit.

🔴 Summary Spoiler Spew 🔴

We see Eugene, Leap Frog, trying to be a vigilante and he tries to get away with his jet boots. The boots then explode by themselves when he is trying to take off. Since Eugene is in the hero category Jen has to take his case. Once she realizes that he is suing Luke, her tailor, she find herself at a rock and a hard place. She goes to see Luke and he is angry that she would accuse him and he tells her that he will not make her any more clothes and she tells him she will see him in court.

This episode was a shocker to me. We actually get to see Jen lawyering. Even though she does a really bad job at her job, I was glad to see her in a courtroom. I say she was bad because she did zero investigating when it came to Eugene Patillo’s claim that Luke Jacobson sold him bad clothes. Instead of doing any type of investigative work, she goes straight to Luke and tells him to settle this lawsuit out of court. Legit all Jen had to do was look into what type of fuel needed to go in the boots.

In court, we see that Luke has Matt Murdock represent him. Matt asks Eugene what type of gas he used for the boots and his answer is incorrect. The judge sides with Luke and Matt because Eugene failed to listen to the rules of the suit. After the case Matt and Jen head to the same bar. The flirt a little then go their separate ways.

We FINALLY got Daredevil! I love that Charlie Cox is back as Daredevil. I do see that they did lighten him up a bit. Not as dark as we normally see him. I really do hope this change is just for this show. When he goes back to his own it better be the same as the Netflix show.

Leap Frog is mad that he lost his case so he goes and kidnaps Luke. Jen finds out about it and makes her way to him. When she gets to his hideout she runs in to Daredevil. They team up to beat up Leap Frogs henchmen and to free Luke. During this time Jen finds out that Matt is  Daredevil. Afterwards Matt and Jen head back to her place and hookup.

What I love the most is that Daredevil was given his space to breathe when he was fighting people. I really did appreciate this. Gave us  tiny taste of what is to come. I also love that we got a hallway fight scene. Those were always the best in the Daredevil show.

One thing I was not fond of was Jen and Matt hooking up. I saw it coming from a mile away, but I feel like they did not give us enough flirting. They should have given more of the same vibe of the chemistry between Jen and Josh. I really wanted where you could feel that tension.

Leap Frog’s hideout gave me HUGE Poison Ivy hideout vibes. I’m talking the Poison Ivy with Arnold and George Clooney.

The next day we see Daredevil doing a walk of shame. Also, Jen and Nikki get ready to head over to the gala where Jen is winning a female lawyer award. At the gala, many women are recognized at once for their hard work. When it gets to She-Hulk, she is interrupted by someone talking on the TV behind her. They release a video of when her and Josh hook up and the person calls Jen/She-Hulk a slut. She-Hulk smashes the TV and smashes her way out of the award room. She is stopped by police with guns all pointed at her.

I thought it was funny when Nikki is getting Jen ready for the gala because she puts all her brushes in between her fingers like Wolverine’s claws.
